How big are giant pandas?
Giant pandas are impressively big. They measure between 1.2 to 1.9 meters in length. When standing upright, they can rise to 180 cm in height, which is equivalent to the height of an average human being.

What’s their weight range?
These bears have a great weight range. Adult males can reach up to 160 kg, with their female counterparts being generally lighter, weighing between 70-125 kg. The weight of an adult panda is between 100 to 115 kg.

What makes their appearance peculiar?
Giant pandas are so instantly distinctive! The reason for this is their fur. The bear is covered with black patches on its eyes, ears, legs, and shoulders. The patterns create a strong contrast to the rest of the animal’s body, which is covered in snow-white fur. However, the creature’s thumb is not exactly what you would expect to see. Thus, pandas possess an enlarged wrist-bone, which provides them help in gripping bamboo.
